Since 1908, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated has implemented programs of service impacting countless lives.

The program theme for 2018-2022 is Exemplifying Excellence Through Sustainable Service. The International Program includes five program targets that are designed to advance the mission of Alpha Kappa Alpha with excellence and underscore our commitment to sustainable service.

  • Women’s Healthcare and Wellness

  • Building Your Economic Legacy

  • The Arts!

  • Global Impact

 

Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority will expand its community presence as a result of these initiatives, which include International Community Impact Days and our signature enrichment program, #CAPSM which is the abbreviation for College Admissions Process. 

Community Impact Days

Alpha Kappa Alpha members will implement International Community Service Days annually  to highlight the organization’s collective impact in program target areas:

 

  • Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service (January)

  • Pink Goes Red for Heart Health Day (February)

  • AKA Global Impact Day Observance (April)

  • AKA International Day of Prayer (August)

  • AKA HBCU Day Observance / National HBCU Week (September)

  • Breast Cancer Awareness Day (October)

  • AKA Caregivers' Day Observance (November)
