Eta Omega Omega Chapter

The Eta Omega Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® celebrates a rich history of service, philanthropy and scholarship for the Bronx, New York community.
Eta Omega Omega was chartered with 12 members, in the Northeast Bronx on May 23, 1964. Eta Omega Omega affectionately (referred to the BronxAKAs) has been most instrumental in the implementation of service programs which impact and empower the local Bronx community. The Chapter’s signature program, AKATeens Rites of Passage (ROP) program for high school girls, is in its 31st year. The ROP program helps the girls develop leadership and life skills to build self-confidence and social responsibility.
Under the chapter’s 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization, Wheeler, Wilson & Johnson Community Projects Inc., founded in 1994, Eta Omega Omega awards scholarships annually to college-bound students and continually raises funds for the scholarships and service programs supporting the Bronx community.
From our 12 charter members to our current roster of 127 members Eta Omega Omega is proud of its many achievements. In 2022, we celebrated the 114th anniversary of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated® and the 58th anniversary of Eta Omega Omega. We approach these milestones with a renewed commitment to fulfilling the legacy of our founders through perseverance and in perpetuity.
